Texture services at 3rd Coast Salon include keratin smoothing treatments, Brazilian blowouts, and perms. These services change how your hair behaves on a daily basis, cutting down on styling time, reducing frizz, or adding curl and volume where your natural texture falls flat.
Keratin treatments and Brazilian blowouts are our most requested texture services. Both reduce frizz and cut daily styling time by 40 to 60 percent. The difference is in longevity and finish: a Brazilian blowout lasts 10 to 12 weeks and gives a smoother, shinier finish. A traditional keratin treatment lasts 3 to 5 months and progressively softens with each wash.
Your stylist will assess your hair type, chemical history, and daily routine during the consultation. Some hair types respond better to one treatment than the other. If your hair has been recently lightened or is in fragile condition, your stylist may recommend waiting or starting with a conditioning protocol first.

What is the difference between a keratin treatment and a Brazilian blowout?
A Brazilian blowout lasts 10 to 12 weeks and gives immediate smoothness and shine. A traditional keratin treatment lasts 3 to 5 months and builds up with repeat applications. Both reduce frizz and styling time. Your stylist will recommend the best option based on your hair type and goals.
Can I color my hair after a keratin treatment?
We recommend completing any color services before a keratin or Brazilian blowout treatment. The smoothing treatment seals the cuticle, which can affect how color deposits. If you need both services, your stylist will plan the right sequence and timing.
Will a Brazilian blowout make my hair completely straight?
A Brazilian blowout reduces frizz and smooths texture, but it does not permanently straighten hair. You will still have natural movement and body. The result is smoother, more manageable hair that dries faster and holds a blowout longer.
